A good English transitional revolver circa 1840.
Rifled, octagonal, sighted barrel with a good amount of original blued finish. Proof marks to the underside.
Plain six shot cylinder, each chamber engraved with a proof mark. Foliate scroll engraved action, engraved bar hammer, trigger guard, and ovoid butt cap. Finely chequered grip scales to either side of the figured rounded grip.
Mechanically perfect, good amounts of original blue finish, with the rest to a plum brown colour.
