Mechanically excellent, holding firm on half and full cock. Steel furniture to the walnut stock, clear proof marks to the left hand side of the barrel. Maker marked to the lock, and top of the barrel.
Barrel length 7.5 inches.
I have been unable to find any information about Sharp of York, but they were obviously a maker of some skill.
A scarce pistol, in excellent condition, which may have been carried during the American Revolutionary War.
