A good example, by Mole of Birmingham, makers to the War and India Offices. Bearing moles serial number to the spine, and a family crest of a large fish, possibly a Carp?

All shagreen and twistwire present to the grip, loss of plating to pommel, guard and backpiece. Featuring the scarce VRI hilt.

Well etched blade, with makers details to the ricasso, the usual foliate etching, VRI crowned cypher, family crest of a fish, possibly a carp.

Scabbard with nickel mouthpiece, light rust overall but sound, with no signs of serious pitting, splits or holes. Twin handing rings.

A scarcer variation of this short lived sword, with the possibility of researching the original owner.

Strictly over 18's only.
