A good British 1845 Pattern Royal Navy Cutlass.
The slightly curved, unfullered, and unmodified blade measures 27 inches, dated 1887, and service sharpened.
This example bearing a brass elongated diamond plaque to the front of the bowl guard, bearing the rack number.
Housed in the original leather covered, steel mounted scabbard. Both cutlass and scabbard appear to have been treated with a paint/tar, likely to preserve it against the elements.
Strictly over 18's only. Photo ID will be required before this item can be dispatched.
