A scarce Elizabeth II  1854 Pattern Scots Guards Officers Sword.

This example, by Wilkinson Sword, Pall Mall, was produced in 1953,

The 1854 pattern gothic Guards hilt, bearing the regimental badge of the Scots Guards. The shagreen grip and wire bound grip is complete, and in very good order. It retains its original brown leather knot to the guard.

The plated 32.5 inch blade is profusely etched with the regiments battle honours, the regimental badge, and the crowned "ERII" of Queen Elizabeth II. It appears to have suffered by being sheathed when wet, so it does have areas of light rust and staining, which would benefit from being professionally polished, particuarly noticable toward the lower section of the blade.

Housed in its original brown leather field service scabbard, which is in good condition.

A scarce ERII sword, which displays well, and which could be improved, and brought back to parade standard for a serving officer or the display case of the specialist collector.

Strictly over 18's only. Photo ID will be required before this item can be dispatched. Please send this at the time of ordering, to prevent unnecessary delay in your order being dispatched.
