George IV 1821 Pattern Light Cavalry Officers Sword

George IV 1821 Pattern Light Cavalry Officers Sword

Code: 11314

SOLD

A rather tired example of a George IV light cavalry officers sword by Prosser of Charing Cross, London.

This sword looks every one of its 200+ years old. However, it is an original and still an imposing weapon, having a blade length of 35.5 inches, with traces of the Royal Cypher of George V and the makers marking still visible. Blade and hilt are rock solid.

A rare sword to find in good condition, being one of the earliest examples of the pattern. This example makes an affordable alternative for those collectors just starting out, or those on a limited budget.

Strictly over 18's only. Photo ID will be required before this item can be dispatched.
