An interesting late Georgian Cutlass or short sword, likely for customs use.
The curved 25 inch blade with single spine fuller, marked "Enfield" with a crowned GR.
The black iron grip with brass stirrup guard and quillion.
Generally good, untouched condition. No movement between blade and hilt. Several edge nicks to the blade, with old corrosion and light rust for its entire length.
Housed in its original leather scabbard with brass frog stud. The drag broken/absent but a good replacement could be fitted to make the scabbard whole again.
A nice, and scarce sidearm which would improve with some gentle cleaning and general TLC.
Strictly over 18's only. Photo ID will be required before this item can be dispatched.
