A good example of a WW1 period Turkish Infantry officers sword.
Lavishly etched 28.5 inch blade with Constantinople makers marking to the spine. Hilt tight to the blade, with a small section missing from the bottom of the grip. Old rust/staining to the blade, but generally a lovely and completely untouched sword. Sadly the scabbard is absent.
Not an easy sword to find, this example was bought drectly from the family, and by repute brought home from Gully Ravine by a Corporal in the 1/8th Hampshires.
