A good untouched example of the scarce Indian Cavalry "Paget" Pattern Sword.
This example with brass three bar guard, smooth backstrap, and horn grip bound with brass wire. The outer guard bears some markings in Devangi script.
The heavily sharpened, single fullered 1796 Light Cavalry pattern blade measuring 31 inches. Some light rust, staining and pitting, as well as deformation of the blade, particuarly towards the point, but a good example of a scarce pattern, which will display very well.
No scabbard present, but would originally have been of wooden construction with a black leather lining.
Strictly over 18's only. Photo ID will be required before this item can be dispatched.
