Russian Model 1907 Bebut Kindjal.
A good example of this Imperial Russian Sidearm, dated 1912. These weapons were issued to Artillery and Machine Gun troops, replacing the longer and more cumbersome shashka sword.
The overall condition is very good, obviously service carried, sharpened and used. There is a crack to one of the wooden grips, but this is solid, and free from movement. Profuse markings to hilt, scabbard and blade.
Blade length 17.5 inches, 25 inches overall, in scabbard.
This example was brought home by a Royal Naval officer taking part in operations in Russia in 1919/1920. These distinctive weapons are widely copied and this example is guaranteed original.
