A mid to late 19thC Sudanese Kaskara Sword.

Hilt of typical form with bound grip, leather disk pommel, and cruxiform crossguard with langets.

The broad, double edged blade is 34 inches long, with triple fullers, and twin crescent moon marks. 

All solid, and free from movement.

Housed in a well decorated tooled leather scabbard. It retains its twin hanging rings and decorated shoulder belt, although this is now quite fragile. The scabbards drag is now missing.

Overall length 39 inches.
