These examples are sometimes described as being for officers, but it seems more likely, given their plain appearance, to be for NCO's.
The hilt consisting of brass D guard, with smooth brass backpiece and domed pommel. Some markings at the crossguard area.
The unfullered 26 inch blade is plain, except for some Turkish script at the forte.
Complete with its orignal black painted steel scabbard with brass frog stud.
Not an easy sword to find, this example was bought along with several other Turkish weapons brought back by the same soldier.
