A very good example of the 1887 MK1 Martini Henry Bayonet.
The MK1 has a fullered blade, and has the grips attached by four rivets. The bayonet is WD marked at the ricasso, along with Enfield inspection markings. It is dated /87 for the first year of manufacture. The bayonet is very clean, the blade still retaining old storage grease. The bayonet carries NO foregin markings.
The leather grips are original, and although with some handling wear, still retain thier chequering. The resease catch functions as it should. House in its brass mounted, black leather scabbard, with correct Indian makers marks, broad arrow I, and a date of 1899.
