A good untouched 1888 Lee Metford Bayonet. This example carries matching numbers (450) to the pommel and the scabbard mouth. The very clean blade made at Enfield, and dated June 1898.
It came with the remnants of a leather frog, which has sadly crumbled away, but it is interesting to see how the top scabbard mount has been partially preserved, in contrast to the other metal areas, which have had to face the passage of time.
