A very pleasing and completely untouched American Model 1917 Bayonet By Remington.
Marked at the ricasso with "US", the flaming bomb, and eagle inspection mark, with viewers mark of "28" below. The other side carries the circular "Remington" makers marking, and the model date of "1917".
This interesting example, with no British markings, which seems to have found its way into Home Guard service during WW2.
The British pattern 1907 scabbard fitted with 1940 Dated Leather "Home Guard" '39 Pattern Frog.
An interesting combination, in good untouched condition, which has never previously been offered for sale.
