A good Remington made American Model 1917 bayonet.
This is the American made version for thier US Model 1917 rifle and will also fit the British Enfield P14.
This bayonet is in very good untouched condition, with lots of original blue finish still showing. It could do with a gentle clean. The blade is in particuarly good condition, with undamaged edge and point.
Marked with the model year "1917" at the ricasso, along with the makers stamp Remington.
The other side showing the 'flaming bomb' ordinance markings, and an eagle's head acceptance stamp. It is also marked US, and carries an X to denote that it has passed the bend test.
The scabbard has its original green finish to the leather, and is maker marked "M.F.W." and "G.K." (Grafton and Knight) to the rear. The blued steel mounts are also maker marked "G.F." in an oval to each.
