A pleasing 1st Pattern 1915 Imperial German Butcher Bayonet.
Maker marked "C.G. HAENEL SUHL" at the ricasso, and 1915 dated on the spine.
Further inspection marks to the pommel and guard.
Housed in its original scabbard, which has been painted black.
Overall condition is good, the grips show signs of old woodworm, but sound hard and solid, and appear in good condition.
