Marked S&S 640 to the pommel for Swinburn&Son who produced both Rifle and bayonet. The number will be the number of the rifle it was originally paired to.
Also marked to the ricasso.
The blade measuring 30 inches overall.
Some pitting and edge knocks which appear to have been mostly sharpened out. Some distortion toward the point.
An extremely rare bayonet in very good condition for its age.
