A good Remington made American Model 1913 bayonet.
This is the American made version for the British Enfield P14 Rifle.
This example carries unit markings for South Staffordshire Regiment.
This bayonet is in good untouched condition, not having previously been in a collection. It could do with a gentle clean.
It carries no American markings. The ricasso is stamped with the model year "1913", along with the makers stamp Remington, and the issue date "2 16" for February 1916.
It also carried the Broad arrow, and carries an X to denote that it has passed the bend test.
Housed in its correct British pattern scabbard, fitted with a scarce 1925 pattern webbing frog.
