Code: 12260
A rather neglected example of a scarce 1907 Pattern SMLE Bayonet with hooked quillion.
This example dated 1910 and produced by Enfield, with various other markings to one ricasso, bend test marking to the other.
No oil hole. Unit marked to the pommel, which might be possible to decypher with some gentle cleaning. Pommel catch currently seized.
The blade "as found" and has some contact marks and has been service sharpened. It also has a slight bend, which I have tried to show in the photographs.
Housed in a correct scabbard with tear drop stud. The mounts now painted, the top mount being "wobbly". Faint markings to the rear.
A good starter example for a collector on a budget, or for somebody who prefers the "well worn" look, but still a sought after original bayonet, and worthy of some careful TLC.
