Italian Verletti Bayonet, officially shortened for WW1.
This shortened version of the Italian Model 1870 bayonet was issued during the First World War for use with the Model 1870/87/15 rifle. The bayonet was a simple conversion, with the blade shortened and the shortening/removal of the quillon.
Complete with its original brass mounted leather scabbard, also officially modified.
