A good original Burma Star medal grouping to Lieutenant James Morton, Royal Army Service Corps.
Comprising his boxed 39/45 Star, Burma Star, War and Defence Medals, in original cellophane packets. His Officers release book, Soldiers Service and Pay Book, Identification card, Balhousie Boys Public school report card, RASC Asscociation card, and four post war driving licences to Morton, one registering a £5 fine for exceeding the speed limit of 30 MPH on a public road!
It would seem that Lieutenant Morton was a professional driver, promoted to drive senior officers and VIP's. Plenty of material here to aid in the research. Morton also brought home a MK II kukri, which is also listed.
