Propaganda Iron Cross (For Brave Deeds)

Propaganda Iron Cross (For Brave Deeds)

Code: 12003

£30.00 Approx $37.64, €34.97

These Pseudo Iron Cross's were made in Britain early in WW1 to raise funds for various soldiers charities, and to help mock the Germans, and highlight the early war atrocities they committed.

This double sided example is ironically marked "For Brave Deeds" to one side, and "Liar" to the other.

The Imperial War Museum page carries more details on these interesting medals. A link can be found HERE.
