These recently identified Aux Unit knives are quite difficult to come by, and this example is in very good used condition, maker marked "HHT Sheffield".
Signs of sharpening to the blade, and housed in a better than average modified and reinforced scabbard.
10 inches overall.
This example seems better made than most, and has chequered wooden grips, inset with a brass lozenge, which reads "Lt. B. AN. R.S."
This knife originated in Scotland, so it seems likely that it belonged to a Lieutenant B Anderson, Royal Scots.
A very good quality knife, worthy of further research.
