Scarce British Indian Army machete, designated the DAH MKIII, based on the Burmese Kachin Dha.
Blade maker marked "G? N.S." and dated (19)45. Inspection stamp to the wooden grip.
Standard pattern leather machete scabbard in good condition. Rear of scabbard stamped, "B.H&G" (Barrow, Hepburn & Gale Ltd) along with the date "1940".
A good clean example of this distinctive sidearm.
