Code: 12548
A large and impressive late 19thC to early 20thC (Roughly 1890/1910 but perhaps a fraction earlier) steel hilted kukri.
The steel hilt with central grip ring and line decoration to mimic its wooden counterpart. In need of a clean and polish.
The blade is in very good but untouched condition, covered in old dry grease, grime and rust. Attractive twin spine fullers and scalloped bolster. The blade measures 14 inches. 18 inches overall. Sharpened blade, and slightly deformed at the point.
Housed in its original leather covered wooden scabbard. Quite tired condition, the rear pouch and sheaths for chakmak and karda are largely now detached, and with a split along the cutting edge. Worthy of repair.
A very good example, and not easy to find examples of this quality.
