A very good and hefty mid to late 19th century example of a Zulu knobkerry.
Formed from one section of hardwood timber, including the root, which forms the ball or head of the club. Animal skin has been added at the centre of the club to provide extra grip. A hole has been drilled at the base of the shaft to allow a lanyard loop to be tied.
Measuring 26.5 inches overall.
