1885 Pattern Cavalry Troopers Sword 10th Hussars

1885 Pattern Cavalry Troopers Sword 10th Hussars

Code: 11757

SOLD

A good regimentally marked 1885 Pattern Cavalry Troopers Sword.

This example was originally issued to the 10th Hussars, before being reissued to the Yeomanry. The scabbard bears the marking "DY" presumably for the Derbyshire Yeomanry.

Produced by Mole in 1887, and with various markings to the ricasso's and spine.

Overall condition is quite good, untouched by me, but at some point somebody has has a go at cleaning the scabbard, which has left behind some scratch marks. The blade is in good, bright untouched condition. Old patina remaining to the hilt and scabbard, with light pitting to the interioir of the bowl guard. Luckily the reimental stamps remain clearly legible. The whole could be improved enormously with some careful attention.

Strictly over 18's only. Photo ID will be required before this item can be dispatched.
