Officers Campaign Set By Asprey
From a private collection of officers private purchase equipment.
A really glorious little leather cased set of eating utensils, comprising folding knife, fork and spoon, a heavy silver (plated?) drinking cup, corkscrew and pepperette.
The leather case is discreetly stamped "Asprey London" which is about as high a mark of quality as one may hope to find. Like many of their products, this piece would appear to be imported, I would surmise from France, judging by the hallmarks on the drinking cup.
Good condition overall. An old repair to the retaining strap, and I suspect the knife is a period replacement, being of a very similar pattern, but not quite matching.
A truly delightful set, for the gentleman "in the field".
