The scabbard mounted with a presentation shield showing a date of 1894.
Likely a hunting sword, possibly for administering the coup de grace to a Stag.
Very high quality throughout, with ball pommel, steel crossguard of typical highland pattern, and a staghorn grip.
Complete in leather scabbard with nickel silver mounts, leather belt loop integral at rear.
Blade length 18 inches, 24.5 inches overall.
