Imperial German Private Purchase Fighting Knife

Scarce private purchase fighting knife modelled as a short dress bayonet, known as "officers" bayonets in some circles.

This example is unmarked, but resembles others I have owned by Carl Eickhorn of Solingen.

Birds head pommel with fake bayonet lug, solid with no slot cut. Double edged blade with single central fuller and a spear point. Housed in its original black painted scabbard with brown leather hanger and retaining strap.

This example comes in very pleasing condition, having a lot of the original paint and finish remaining to knife and scabbard.

Blade length: 6 inches.
