Another recently uncovered item, an African Mandinka Sword. Such swords were usually only the preserve of men of high standing or importance.
As can be seen, this one has been tucked away and forgotten about, and consequently does require some gentle cleaning and TLC. The blade is covered in surface rust, and the leatherwork could use a feed.
Overall length in scabbard 30 inches.
Strictly over 18's only.
