Drill Purpose Lee Metford Bayonet

A scarce 1888 Lee Metford bayonet which has been converted for drill purposes by having the point rounded. 

Dated 1892 and VR marked at the ricasso. 

Housed in its correct steel mounted leather scabbard, the throat marked "D.P." with a number.

Not an easy variation to find these days.
