Lee Metford Bayonet By Wilkinson

A very clean Lee Metford Bayonet, manufactured by Wilkinson Sword.

This example is dated 1894, and bears the correct crowned VR cypher at the ricasso, along with various other WD stamps and markings. The blade carries its original bright polished finish.

Further clear inspection markings to the rear of the scabbard, which is dated 1894, and to both wooden grip scales. The pommel bears the number 264, and this matches the scabbard throat.

If you only want one Metford bayonet, you would struggle to improve upon this one.
