Third Pattern Fairbairn Sykes

£145.00 Approx $181.48, €169

Code: 11249

A Third Pattern Fairbairn Sykes Fighting Knife.

This example likely produced just post war, utilising a wartime made grip and blade, but with a brass cross guard. I've seen some people make arguments for these being late war originals, but I'm yet to see any actual evidence.

This particular knife carries an inspectors grip marking of "3" just below the pommel. Some traces of the copper wash to the grip.

The crossguard has been purposely shaped backwards. Blade measuring almost seven inches.

No maker marking visible, although this example may have been produced by William Rodgers of Sheffield as this example does share some charateristics of known marked examples by that maker.

The knife all tight, with no movement, and showing no sign of having been taken apart.

Well used, but an interesting post war variation.

Strictly over 18's only. Photo ID will be required before this item can be dispatched.
