An interesting and impressive Georgian era Cavalry Officers Sword.
Three bar hilt in the continental style. The grip appears to be of leather bound with copper twistwire.
35 inch single fullered blade. Etched with the latin inscription to either side of the blade "No Me Saques Sin Razon" and "No Me Embaines Sin Honor"
"Do not draw me without reason, do not sheath me without honour".
Likely a Solingen made blade produced for the Spanish market, so might well have been carried during the Napoleonic Wars.
Solid condition, even patina overall to hilt and blade, with chips and nicks to the blade.
