A rather handsome Trench Art pin dish or ash tray, made in the form of a German Officers Cap.

Produced from a German 1917 dated shell. 

The cap band is moveable, and in a white metal, possibly coin grade silver. Areally charming and well executed piece, with a lovely rich colour to the interior.
